Altogether Now

People in Blackpool are being urged to work together to make the town a healthier place to live.

A Legacy for Blackpool

‘Altogether Now’ – a legacy for Blackpool is an innovative new programme spearheaded by NHS Blackpool working in partnership with Blackpool Football Club Community Trust and Blackpool Council.

The programme is centred around four Tangerine Targets, which are key to improving the health and wellbeing of the local community. The Tangerine Targets are underpinned by eight health priorities for the town.

The aim of ‘Altogether Now’ – is to improve the health and wellbeing of Blackpool residents by delivering a year-round calendar of events, activities and health messages.

The programme is all inclusive and supports everyone in the town, irrespective of age or ability.

Although delivered in partnership with Blackpool Football Club and supported by the Barclays Premier League, Altogether Now is inclusive of all sports.

Nothing can change overnight. The programme is unfolding slowly throughout the next few months, steadily building towards the advent of the Olympic Games in 2012.

During the coming weeks, you will see ‘Tackle a Tangerine Target’ branding around town and be made aware of opportunities you can get involved in to make some positive improvements to your lifestyle.
